Not to sound cliché, but I'm a hobbyist photographer that has spent her time chasing her own kids with a lens and bribing her own nuclear family with ice cream if they would "just smile!" for a yearly family photo. I often sit back and swoon over old photos of my family, admiring that quirky smile the oldest still has, or the scrunchy nose the baby used to make.
I grew up in a small south Texas town, moved away for college, got married, had a baby, finished college, had another baby and have enjoyed so much time home raising my family. I have a bachelor's degree in sociology and with being out of the workforce for 8 years, you can imagine how tough it is to get a job now that I'm ready (sort of) to spread my wings and provide for my family an additional way!
So, with much encouragement & inspiration (with a dash of HESItation), I decided to try and make a business with something I love! I believe God gives us all a talent, a specialty, and since I haven't figured out a way to be paid for raising my babies, I'll go on to my other talent- photography. Artistic ability runs in my family- singing, painting, drawing, musicality, crafts, photography, writing- and many of my cousins have followed their dreams by pursuing a career in their field of interest, so I figured I'd jump in with both feet too!
